Spring in East Hill
I love my neighborhood. I know I've said that before. (But, if you have read my blog at all, you realize that I repeat myself often.) There is just so much to love. And now that it is spring, well, it is exploding with vibrant colors and heady sweet smells from the flowers of spring. This little exquisite beauty was on a tree in my front yard. (As a matter of fact, all the flowers in this particular post are from my yard!)
Being my first spring here, it was like Christmas each morning. I would stroll through my yard to see what had come up new, what was blooming, what looked promising. This tree was a mystery to me. I didn't know if it bloomed, or just offered shade and beauty. But, one morning I got up and there was such a sweet smell in the air...I soon saw these blooms covering this little tree!!

More flowers to come. But next are pictures from a walk that Nikki and I took one evening on the way to our local little pizza place. We were going to meet up with D who was still in class. We decided it was a lovely evening for a walk so off we went.

Adore the coziness of this... |
On this walk we happened to pass this garage type building and lot that has, among other things, this old firetruck. You can imagine my delight when I finally got to photograph it!

This is wisteria...in my backyard! Imagine my surprise!!! I have always shouted out wisteria sightings to D as we are driving. Now I have it in my own back yard...

The sheer purple-ness of it was overwhelming... |
This shot concludes our little walk. This is the old Sacred Heart Hospital which houses, among other things, our pizza place...OZones.

And since I started with a picture from the little tree in my front yard, I thought it proper that I end with one also...

Nice photos. East Hill is one of my favorite communities in Pensacola. The O'Zone photo makes me hungry for Pizza:).
