A walk {Part 2 of 3}

I ended up in the Cathedral-Basilica. Quiet. Still. Muted. Cool.

I lit this candle and said a little prayer. Not being Catholic, I just hoped for the best.

“How far that little candle throws his beams!”

After leaving the Church, I walked on to the Lightner Museum. This is one end of what use to be worlds largest indoor salt water pool located in the former Alcazar Hotel, built in 1888 by Henry Flagler. Today it is a little cafe.

Johnny Weissmuller, one of the world's best swimmers in the 1920s, winning five Olympic gold medals and one bronze medal, and sixth actor to portray Tarzan, trained here. (And in my opinion, the only Tarzan.)

It is also said that the pool area is haunted, and if while dining at times you can look directly above and see a 'floating' body. Yes. It is true. I swear. Did I actually see it? Well, no. But you can't go by what I say. I'm not at all in tune with the other world. I'm trying to work on that.
