Gulf Breeze / Pensacola Beach

We took a trip to Gulf Breeze...our old stomping ground. It was a strange trip. I was partly sick and drugged up on Niquil. It was just bizarre., seeing someplace for the first time in 6 years, and there's been a devastating hurricane in the interim. It created a surreal experience. Plus, the weather was not cooperating. Not the usual beautiful days I remember. But, I did manage to get a few shots.

Another important sign

This is the dock that D proposed to me on bended knee so many years ago. We were at the very end. Of course, the hurricane destroyed that very dock, but they rebuilt it.

So this is what a portugese-man-o'-war looks like at close quarters. I have read about how poisonous they are.

@hillgrandmom, see that purple curled up mass by it's side? That is actually a long tentacle. That is the part that is poisonous. I had one wrap around my leg once. Left a very painful red welt on my leg.
