Around town
These are just images. Taken at no particular event. No special festival. Just photographs of around and about Pensacola.
This is taken in the historical district of Pensacola. The older homes are beautiful...as is the neighborhood. I loved this old wrought iron fence. And it had the remains of Mardi Gras. One lone strand of beads.
"If no tourists came, we'd still have Mardi Gras. Mardi Gras is a state of mind." ¸.•*´¨`♥ Ed Muniz |
This is the sign that is put up every Tuesday. And those pork chops are succulent goodness. If I'm off on a Tuesday, 9 chances out of 10, I will find myself at Charlies.
"There is poetry in a pork chop to a hungry man." ¸.•*´¨`♥ Philip Gibbs (NY Times 1951) |
"She loves rainbows as much for fading as for their brilliance." ¸.•*´¨`♥ Morgan Llywelyn (Bard: The Odyssey of the Irish) |
"I listen for returning feet and voices at the door" ¸.•*´¨`♥ J.R.R. Tolkien |
"Let us be silent, that we may hear the whisper of God." ¸.•*´¨`♥ Ralph Waldo Emerson |
"I meditate, I do yoga and I have a lot of friends who are healers.....And if none of that works, I go by a chocolate bar and a bottle of cognac." ¸.•*´¨`♥ Susan Strasberg |
This is my backyard neighbor (who I have not met yet...a privacy fence and line of trees divide us). But, I do know that they are artsy just from their yard art. This is a couple of my favorite pieces that I've seen when taking a walk.
"O great creator of being grant us one more hour to perform our art and perfect our lives." ¸.•*´¨`♥ Jim Morrison |
This is from Sunset in Plaza de Luna. These little girls just danced their hearts out. It was so cute.
"Dance like no one is watching." ¸.•*´¨`♥ Mark Twain |
