Biker Week at Daytona

We wanted to visit Daytona during Biker Week 2008. So, down A1A (my new most favorite road) we went!

We somehow managed to make it to a beach (Vilano) before sunrise and I was able to get a few pictures.

Sunrise

After the sunrise pit stop at Vilano Beach we continued on Route A1A.

Morning beach

Nice path

We parked close to the Daytona Beach entrance by Main Street.

Welcome to Daytona Beach

View from the dock

And here we go...

The crowd kept growing

Who choreographed this event?

Some were scary

Not all biker chic's wore black

As a matter of fact, some hardly wore anything

I paid a buck to get this shot

Some have been bikin' for awhile now

Others only bike when mother allows it

There were big fancy bikes...

...and little fancy bikes

Some bike's have been rode hard

Some were so put together

Some grabbed the wrong hat

How did he get in?

One little lady copper kept 'em in line

Contrasts in the crowd, from hillbilly bikers...

...to the Red Hat Society

I think this was D's fav...

...and this was my favorite

@Nikki, yes, I did pay him a dollar. My last one. He wanted beer money and told me he'd give me a pose worth it for a dollar. I said "Yeah...I think I have a dollar left." And there you have it.

I went back to using blogger to 'host' my pictures. That is why clicking them makes them big again.
