The Keys::Day 1::Arrived in Key West
The Arrival. It happened. A bit rainy. But that seemed to be the theme the entire time we were there. A bit rainy...then the sun would come out and steam us. In spite of the rain thing, we had a fantastic time.
Anyway. On to the arrival. Here we are in Key West. Too early to check in our hotel and we were, once again, starved. So we drove in circle a few times and then settled on this little place called Ana's Cuban Cafe. Delightful! We shared a Cuban Pork Sandwich. YUM.

Across the street from the cafe was this funky retro Miami style building.

After we ate we took a little walk. These bikes caught my eye. Pink. Love a pink bike. My bike is pink, by the way.
About now it was time to check in our hotel. The Orchid Inn. The little hot tub was so great....especially on the rainy days.
We checked in. Took a dip. Showered. And then guess what? It was happy hour! This day was just getting started apparently.
This was the tiny little hotel bar. So friggin cute. With the shiny silver chairs. That I kept sliding out of. But, it was still cute.
After my chocolate caramel coffee martini (or some such thing) we were ready for Duval Street. That is for the next post.
