Pelicans in Paradise::5

Took my new camera out for a little shopping trip. Stopped at a place that had a Pelican in Paradise on it's porch. I've been meaning to stop for a long time...finally did. It was on the corner of Airport Blvd. & N. 12th Ave. at the Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.

The Pelican is the Community Spirit. Originally it was sponsored by the Northwest Florida Blood Center.

(not quite) Breakfast at Tiffany's

A quick breakfast after yard-saling with a friend and our men. Well, we yard-saled and they drove us...and waited...drove...waited...etc.

It was a good day for bargains. I left the house with $5.

I bought a blue glazed earthenware garden pot, a white lamp shade (to go on my newly painted lamp), a signed lighthouse print and another lamp (that I got to sit by a chair for reading, but the reading extension is not working, so it will either get repaired or sent to my yardsale).

I returned to my house with $1.

A rainy Saturday morning

I wanted to go to the farmers market this morning and just mosey around taking pictures. It was relaxing and fun while it lasted. Sorta centered me. Just taking pictures because I love it.

Then the heavens opened up and dumped all of the rain it just couldn't hold any longer. I was completely on the other end of the market from my car. So I quickly asked a vendor for a plastic bag to protect my camera, and I made my way back to the car. In a leisurely, wet, fashion. By the time I got in the car, I was dripping wet. From head to toe.

And completely refreshed...

I stopped by Darlene's Garden and chatted with Darlene. This was one of Darlene's flowers. Smells soooooooo fragrant!!! I can't wait to get one in my yard.

I won tickets to the Blue Wahoos!!! We were extra lucky and got the VIP seats. What a fun time. Pepsi, polish sausages, buffalo wings, roast beef, fresh fruit, popcorn, brownies, cookies, peanuts. My tummy hurt when I left :-(
