New Orleans 2011: set 4
New Orleans would not be the same without the people. They are special. And people watching in that city is a full time activity. Between the locals and the tourists from every corner of the earth, there is always something interesting to see.
" An artist can look at a pretty girl and see the old woman she will become. A better artist can look at an old woman and see the pretty girl that she used to be." ¸.•*´¨`♥ Robert A. Heinlein |
While people watching on Bourbon Street, this group of police almost ran me over. I felt something on my shoulder, and turned, and it was a horse! Freaked me out.
"There are dark shadows on the earth, but its lights are stronger in the contrast." ¸.•*´¨`♥ Charles Dickens |
"When I sell liquor, it's bootlegging. When my patrons serve it on a silver tray on Lakeshore Drive, it's hospitality." ¸.•*´¨`♥ Al Capone |
"The city is one very long poem. Gardens full of pansies, pink petunias, opiates." ¸.•*´¨`♥ Bob Dylan (Chronicles: Volume One) |
"The devil comes here and sighs. New Orleans. " ¸.•*´¨`♥ Bob Dylan (Chronicles: Volume One) |
" Night can swallow you up, yet none of it touches you." ¸.•*´¨`♥ Bob Dylan (Chronicles: Volume One) |
That was the last of my New Orleans series. I can only hope to go back soon. It is one of those places that you could photograph 24/7 and never run out of subjects. Love it. And had a wonderful time.
