A Wednesday Morning in Florida

There is a world out there during the week when all worker bees are duly at work. Ahhh...the sweet day off in the middle of the week. Here are some images from my morning. I started at the St. Augustine Beach Farmers Market which a lovely little market. Then a trip to St. John's River Community College. I wandered around while D did some business.

The market had flowers, crafts, food, veggies, fruits, jewelry (I got a pretty ring!), baked goods, massages, candles and various lotions and potions.

Morning in St. Augustine

This morning was just a little get out of the house, post hurricane, to St. Augustine. We stopped for breakfast at Gypsy Cab Co. Great little place!! We will be going back there. We enjoyed the Huevos Rancheros, in case you are interested.

We survived. Actually we were quite lucky. Lots of wind damage and flooding. But today we ventured out. Not far. I had an eye appointment, and we ate at the Olive Garden. Less than exciting all around. But I did get a couple of pics before we scurried back home.

The lizard sat on the hood of our truck while I was in TJ Maxx. Kept D occupied while I shopped. I had to take a pic then rescue him before we started the truck. I managed to shuffle him onto a piece of cardboard and then release him on a near by bushy area.

Saturday morning...

We love to go out for breakfast. So we did, at one of our favorites, Cafe Eleven. We then went across the road to Splash Park. On the way out we stopped at the Old City Farmers Market, which has become my favorite.

A morning at Mickler's Landing

We finally were able to pull of a beach trip without dumping our water supply early in the game...meaning we stayed longer. It was a hot hot hot day. But the water felt wonderfully cold. The waves knocked me down more than once, much to the amusement of D. He was still laughing as I made my way back to the towel.

I walked down the beach to what I like to call the 'wild' beach. No people.
